The magic of winter
Snow crystals glistening. Refreshing mountain air. White as far as the eye can see.
The first snowman or a small igloo? Children's eyes light up when they can play in the snow for the first time.
The children will remember this moment for a long time and will talk about this experience again and again. That's a promise!

Cross-country skiing
Ramsau is one of the 5 largest cross-country skiing areas in Austria with around 200 km of prepared trails.
Breathe in the fresh air, look at the snow-covered nature and be active at the same time. Cross-country skiing is a sport that trains all parts of the body. Muscles and joints are strengthened and protected at the same time. You train endurance, strength and coordination.
For beginners, we recommend classic cross-country skiing to get a feel for the narrow skis and to train your balance.
Skating requires some practice and stamina.
Tip: Why not also try the night trail?
Want to try something new?
Two biathlon facilities offer the opportunity to try out Nordic combined sports. The range extends from laser rifles to air pressure rifles and small bore rifles. Tips and tricks on the right breathing and shooting techniques are available from the local cross-country ski schools.
Ski touring
Ski touring is an increasingly popular winter sport. Preparation and the right equipment are the be-all and end-all here.
If you would like to go on a ski tour and have no experience, you should either try it out on a secured route, such as the Märchenweg at the Rittisberg, or take part in a guided tour.
Horse-drawn sleigh rides
Snuggled up in a warm blanket, you will ride over the snowy fields through the snow-covered forests. A horse-drawn sleigh ride is pure idyll.
We recommend the following horse-drawn sleigh farms in our area:
